Product and Print Disclaimers

Color Discrepancy Disclaimer

Our remarkable DTG process is capable of achieving numerous feats. Nevertheless, when selecting colors for your artwork, it's essential to recognize that real product appearances may diverge from what's seen on your computer monitor. Even if your monitor is calibrated to a specific color profile, several factors influence color outcomes on printed items.

Consequently, we cannot assure absolute color precision. Consider these aspects:

When printing on apparel, factor in fabric material and garment color. Identical color values differ slightly when printed on 100% cotton versus fabric blends. Similarly, the same color value alters when printed on light versus dark garments.

We also apply a white under-base layer beneath prints on colored apparel to enhance color vibrancy and prominence against the fabric. The same color value can diverge when printed with or without a white under base.

How does fabric blend impact print quality?

The DTG printing process is optimal for 100% cotton garments, providing the most opaque outcomes. This fabric yields superior results due to its dense weave.

However, exceptions exist. Excessive cotton thickness can absorb more ink, resulting in a faded appearance.

Furthermore, we extend printing to poly-blends and tri-blends. Our fulfillment team engineered a system preserving print quality on such garments. Due to their looser weave and mixed fabrics, these items achieve a faded/vintage effect with DTG printing. While appealing, this might not suit you if an opaque result is preferred.

Vinegar Odor Explanation

When unboxing a new shirt or hoodie featuring direct-to-garment (DTG) prints, you might detect a vinegar-like scent or off-white residue. Rest assured, this is common—stemming from a fixation agent used during printing, and it's impermanent.

Fixation agent (sometimes termed pre-treatment) is integral to all DTG prints industry-wide. It fosters ink adherence to fabric; otherwise, the ink would flake off.

The solution is simple: launder the garment! Neither residue nor scent is enduring, both dissipating after one wash. If noticeable discoloration arises, our quality control team includes an explanatory card attributing it to the fixation agent

Image Quality Disclaimer

At Tinted Tees, we take pride in delivering exceptional custom-printed apparel. However, it's crucial to understand that the final print quality heavily relies on the quality of the image you provide us. Here's why image quality matters:

1. Clarity and Detail: The clarity and detail of your image directly impact how well it reproduces on our products. Higher-resolution images ensure that intricate details are accurately captured and displayed.

2. Color Accuracy: Images with vibrant colors and balanced tones produce the most accurate and appealing prints. Low-quality images might result in color variations and inaccuracies.

3. Sharpness and Distortion: High-resolution images maintain sharpness and prevent distortion when printed on fabric. Low-quality images could appear blurry or pixelated.

4. Sizing: Low-resolution images can become pixelated when enlarged for printing. Higher-resolution images maintain quality even when scaled up.

To ensure the best possible print outcome, we recommend submitting images that meet the following criteria:

Resolution: Images should have a resolution of at least 72 DPI (dots per inch), however 300 DPI is prefered. If you are not able to supply your image at 300 DPI, we will do our best to upscale your image to 300 DPI before we print your order for optimum print quality.

- File Format: PNG, AI, PSD, or EPS formats are preferred for their compatibility with our printing process.

- Color Profile: Images should be in RGB color mode for optimal color reproduction.

Please note that while our advanced printing technology strives to enhance image quality, we can only work with the quality provided. We're here to guide you throughout the process and answer any questions you might have about image specifications.

Remember, a high-quality image ensures a remarkable finished product that you'll be proud to wear. Thank you for choosing Tinted Tees for your custom apparel needs.
